How do I apply to be an ACSM trainer?

If you would like to apply to be an Abortion Care Specialist Modules Principal Trainer, please complete the application form.

Your submitted application form will be sent to the Professional Learning and Development team and may be reviewed by the Abortion Care Expert Working Group Lead. You will then be contacted by the Professional Learning and Development team and may be asked to provide further information and evidence to support your application.

If you are an experienced trainer who leads an abortion service and would like to become a Principal Trainer, but you do not meet each of the five criteria, please email our Support Team at support@CoSRH.org to discuss the possibility of becoming a Principal Trainer.

Once your application has been approved, you will receive a welcome email providing the next steps. You will also need to create an account on our Find-A-Trainer platform. 

- To create an account, follow this link to the platform

- Select ‘Let’s get started’ and tick 'I want to be a Trainer'

- Enter your details to set up your account, including what courses you are looking to train in

- Self-declare the Abortion Care Specialist Modules you are eligible to train in on your profile

- You will then receive an email confirming we have received your request. Please allow up to 7 --working days for your request to be approved. Please note that your request will not be approved unless your application to become a Principal Trainer has been successful.

Please note that Principal Trainers must re-register every five years following the same process as above. You will be required to stay current with your abortion and educational knowledge and skills.
