How do I recertify my College Registered Trainer (CRT) status?

Modified on Fri, 22 Aug at 4:55 PM

If you applied for your CRT status via the GMC GP trainer/recognised trainer route, you will need:

  • To hold a current license to practise from GMC/NMC
  • Each yearly subscription paid when due
  • Recertification of DCSRH/MCSRH/FCSRH is up to date
  • 50 credits in core SRH (in this total you may count the credits used to recertify your primary qualification)

If you applied for your CRT status via any other CRT approved route, you will need:

  • To hold a current license to practise from GMC/NMC
  • Each yearly subscription paid when due
  • Recertification of primary qualification is up to date
  • 50 credits in core SRH (in this total you may count the credits used to recertify your primary qualification)
  • 10 credits for participation in approved training in adult educational techniques including those approved by other Colleges (RCOG/RCP/RCGP/RCN)
  • Evidence of at least 15 teaching activities over 5 years

Please see our FAQ if you are late to recertify: What happens if I'm late to apply?
